The game has officially changed. I have NEVER been this excited to try a shampoo. Ever. But ever since Elle of Quest For The Perfect Curl and a few other curlfriends have declared their love for this shampoo, I have been eager to try it. Thank the hair Gods that I did because the CoCo Curls Hydrating Shampoo is a winner!

This shampoo passes the test for my daughter’s curls AND mine. It smells like butterscotch candy and it makes our curls oh so happy. It is pH balanced and packed with healthy hair ingredients like beet sugar extract and a hydrolyzed soy protein. (More about what I recently learned about protein and my hair, in another post.)

I LOVE that this shampoo is sulfate free, and isn’t loaded with a ton of oils. I think this is my major gripe with a lot of products on the market. It is lightweight but does a thorough job at cleansing our scalp without a harsh, stripped effect. I must admit, however, that each of the three times I have tried this product in my hair (and twice in my daughter’s) our hair was coated with a deep conditioner, or pre-poo treatment prior to washing. I’m still confident in the power of this product because when a product is amazing, you just know it. And this product is amazing.

I can’t attest to it’s detangling properties because I wait until the conditioning or deep conditioning step to detangle my hair. But darling, I loved swooshing this goodness throughout my curls. Is it this normal to get excited about wash day?

Have you tried this shampoo or any products from this line? Tell me what you think!

XoXo, Jen.
