I’m out of my favorite deep conditioner and things just havent been the same since. I figured this was the perfect time for me to try a few products I purchased a while ago, in an effort to clean house and clear my shelves. Wrong move.

After a few trial and error sessions, I decided to take it to the streets. Buying online has been my only saving grace, but I needed a replacement NOW.

I finally decided to take a trip to Sallys in an effort to find a suitable replacement  (that was hopefully less expensive) and I was very surprised by what I found. Every deep conditioning item on the shelf was aimed at strengthening hair. Repairing it. Restoring it. Adding protein to it. Now I get that I have been on a protein kick lately, but where is all the moisture when you need it? Where has all the moisture gone? Granted, Sallys isn’t usually my first (or second) option of places to purchase hair care products, but I couldnt help but wonder what other stores and drugstores were setup that way– void of deep conditioners targeted for moisture. In all honesty, I’ve never taken inventory of the options available on the ground because aside from my Manuka Honey Conditioner by Shea Moisture, I haven’t come across a product that I love as much as my Curl Junkie or Elucence. Which is saying a lot, considering these products are only available online. This is almost inspiring me to create a post/video about excellent drugstore products to have in your arsenal, but I’m worried that my lineup would be scarce.
